Introduction
Design
The 2015 Chevrolet Silverados exterior design is very similar to its predecessor. The front end is dominated by large grille openings and headlights. The rear end is also similar to the previous model. However, there are some modifications made to the tailgate. The tailgate is longer and wider than before. This allows for easier entry to the bed when loading cargo.
Chevrolet Silverado comes standard with a 3.5L V6 gas engine producing 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, as well as an optional 4.3L V8 gasoline engine producing 355 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque and a 5.3L V8 diesel engine producing 365 hp and 810 lb-ft of torque (all figures are estimated).

Features
The interior of the Silverado is much improved as nicely. The dashboard is cleaner and sleeker. There are several new features counted to the truck. These include an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple Play and Android Auto compatibility. A navigation system is expected on every frame level. In addition, the Silverado will come prepared with OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot technology.
The exterior design of the Silverado is very similar to other GM vehicles. The front end of the truck is dominated by large headlights and grille. The rear bumper is also quite large, as well as the tailgate. The sides of the vehicle feature large wheel wells and fender flares.
Performance
The new Silverado has a 3.5L V6 engine that creates 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. This motor is coupled to a piece of six-speed automatic information. The Silverado also shows four different cab configurations. They include Crew Cab, Extended Cabs, Regular Cabs, and Double Cabs. All models come with a rearview camera, power windows, remote keyless entry, and air movement.
Chevrolet Silverado is available with two engine options – a 6.2L V8 gasoline engine and a 6.6L Duramax Diesel engine. Both engines produce up to 400 horsepower and 765 lb-ft of torque.
The Silverado is available in two trim levels: LT and High Country. Both come equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission, however, the High Country features a heavy duty transfer case, while the LT does not.
Safety
The new Silverado has been developed to meet federal safety standards. It includes standard front seatbelts, side curtain airbags, and an advanced driver assistance system called Forward Collision Alert.
